1 Hr Cafe served as a comfy place to lounge after my last exam when I did not want to travel too far. I'm not a big fan of bubble tea because it always seemed too fluffed up which is why when my friend suggested we pay 1 Hr a visit I reluctantly agreed. It seemed pretty quite busy at 10pm which was surprising.
The menu is limited imo but I guess it's part of the minimalist charm? I love the decor of this place and the bean bag chairs were so welcome after sitting through 3 hours of carpal-tunnel inducing writing.
I ordered the bubble tea with jelly because they ran out of tapioca and when the drink came, half of it was...frothy? Like I said before, I rarely venture out to try bubble tea so I'm not sure if the froth/foam was intended or if it was to give the illusion of more tea. The drink was good but kinda like sugary water.
My waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and I get that it was somewhat late at night but she spoke with such attitude that I was irritated by it. The icing on the cake was when I got overcharged. Tax came to 0.99 cents on my 3.99 drink with 0.99 jelly charge, not sure of the logistics behind that but six dollars for that drink was far too much.
Whatever, I didn't stay for one hour anyway.
