We moved our daughter over here from another studio after looking at a number of different options. The studio has been around for years and seems to have a big following. Unlike many studios, this one does not go for the "trashy" look that so many are now opting for in their recitals. The teaching is very good and our daughter enjoys going to class.
MAJOR issue with them is that many of the students are there 6-10 hours per week and many of the students are siblings of others so they have been involved with the organization for a long time. For those of us whose kids are casual dancers and not there many hours per week, they seem to not have the time of day for us. We have gone to class only to have the doors locked saying that the studio is closed for such and such a reason and they provide no information to the casual dancers regarding the recitals that they are expected to perform in (and pay for). They have no problem sending out emails for fundraisers, but can't manage to send out an email to notify dancers that the studio is closed or provide additional necessary information.
The owner is obviously well regarded and has a large following with existing families, but they are doing nothing to be welcoming to new dancers. Eventually, your old clients grow up and move on so I'm not real sure what their plan is to maintain clients.
They have done nothing to be welcoming to us or to several other new dancers that we have met. You can definitely do better.
