| - Went in to get the bumper on my car REPAIRED, that is exactly what I told the front desk and what she wrote on the work order, however this was the start of a nightmare.
Went in as this is the usual place my dad comes to pimp out his vehicles, and me being dumb and bottoming out, decide to go to MOB as he has a good relationship with the staff and expected them to take care of me.
Prior to my arrival, I had siliconed the bumper back onto the car, thinking that they could take it off.
I met with Boj and he assured me that if I paid the repair in full, he would do whatever he could to keep it under what I paid, even to refund me some money if he could. He was very short as they were in the process of changing the name of their business
Dropped it off Wednesday, arrived on Saturday to pick it up.
Upon coming to the back of the shop with my car, I find all the mechanics joking around, smoking cigarettes, and drinking beer, and as I pull up they looked at me with disgust, like they did a perfect job and I was the problem.
Looking at the car, the silicone was still there, they did not install ANY bolts to secure the bumper onto the car except for a couple of nails that they covered up (they wanted me out of the shop and I had to force them to show me the photos of the repair). I spent nearly an hour arguing with the repair mechanics about the quality of the repair as not only did they miss the entire REPAIR portion (they just bondo'd the bumper with it still attached to the car. I understand that they could not take it off due to its installation, but a heads up phone call would have been appreciated), the sander they used stripped some of the paint off of my rear quarterpanels. They INSISTED that this was from me bottoming out, and told me that I was complaining too much and should not pay attention to the little problems. However, once I started talking again about how they should have repaired the bumper and all the problems, the mechanics were all quiet, only wanting me to appreciate that the cracks on my bumper were gone.
Further, the interior was not detailed (as they insisted it was). The mechanic who drove the car back to the shop had dust from the paint on his shoes, and it was evident all over the driverside floor. This same dust was all over my trunk (I have a hatchback).
While I wasn't looking, they tried wiping it off and called me crazy for thinking that it was them for the dust on my floor.
Boj finally came out (he seems to be the guy that runs the place) and I ran him through everything I told the mechanics, and he proposed a deal for me:
"How about I refund all of your money...and then I break your bumper again, for free? No one in town will touch this car, I did YOU a FAVOR. I LOST money repairing this bumper for you. If you want to be an ass about this, I'll give you back your money and break this bumper myself."
WOW! If that is how they treat the FAMILY of one of their returning customers that spend over $10,000 in upgrades to their car, I'd hate to be an average Joe just looking to get his car fixed here.
After essentially talking down to me like a child, I left the car and told them to bolt the bumper on, repaint the quarter panels, and make the interior clean.
Arrived Monday to a relatively clean car (they rushed their cleaning, I could tell), however, I still found about 5 cracks on the bumper.
What do you know, Boj sees me and just dips, not saying anything.
For the quarterpanels, they scraped off the residual bondo, even scraped some of my paint off, for FREE!
I cannot begin to describe the amount of stress, frustration, and disappointment I experienced from visiting this shop. Their lack of professionalism, respect for clientele, and disregard for quality by cutting corners leaves me EXTREMELY concerned for anyone else going here without the appropriate car knowledge.
I absolutely ABHOR this place with a passion, and I URGE everyone to not even consider this as a place to have your car worked on.
