  • Spend your money elsewhere--like at establishments with friendly staff, with kitchens who serve respectable food and with owners who believe in providing customer service. This is hardly breaking news considering the litany of negative reviews already posted, but the new-ish owners/management will destroy what was once considered a friendly, tasty, neighborhood restaurant. The writing is on the wall. The restaurant was about 10% full at 6pm on a Thursday night (ominous bad sign) and that was the high point of our evening. If out of sheer morbid curiosity you'd like to read more about our experience, read on: 1. Our waiter was clearly new and unprepared as he did not know the evening's dinner specials and "had to check with someone," which meant he would need to come back. 2. He later brought an incorrect entree and actually argued with one of our diners on how he had taken the proper order--he later admitted he was wrong and then offered to replace it. 3. Two of our entrees came out at the same time, the third arrived 5 minutes later, and the fourth entree (grilled chicken) came out 10 minutes after that. 4. My baked potato was cooked perfectly--as was the black and crackled, golf ball sized rotten segment burgeoning from the top and staring at me. 5. When asked to speak to the manager, it took over 15 minutes for our waiter to find him, presumably because he was napping given that we were one of 5 tables. 6. While waiting for the manager to emerge, I elected to see the hostess who was busy on her phone and recognized my presence only after finishing texting her sentence. 7. The manager listened to my re-telling of our experience with a blank stare and asked, "What would you like me to do?" Here's what I'd like for you to do... take pride in your business, make sure your employees are doing their jobs before putting them on the floor, and most of all, give a damn...or at least pretend to.
