| - My husband and I got married at the Glenerin Inn on March 2014. It met our expectations of a small, intimate wedding, and we had a great time!
We weren't sure what to expect because of the mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a shot anyways (why not? we're originally from Mississauga, this place has history, and we wanted to start off our happy ever after in a local area).
We gave the Inn two weeks' notice that we wanted to fly home from the West Coast to get married, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Our guests weren't sure what to expect since most people plan their weddings months, maybe even a year ahead of time, but we wanted to prove that this could be done in a fun, and stress- free way.
The room was perfect size for a party of 50, and everything looked beautiful/elegant. We didn't do much extra decorating (aside from the centre pieces) because I wanted to leave everything simple, elegant and original.
The food was amazing- we had steak, salmon, or mushroom risotto as our choices, and the portion sizes were bigger than expected. We got a lot of compliments from our guests too!
If you're looking for an intimate, warm, cozy gathering then I would suggest the Glenerin Inn! Price is very fair (we got a few "on the house" too), food is great, rooms are very cute, service is friendly.
