  • This place has great coffee and great hand made baked goods that are so incredibly better than chain coffee shops. Central is really the best coffee in Charlotte in almost every way, and they are the original. I'm more of a purist who believes that fancying up your coffee with sugar and cream defeats the purpose (if this is you, might I suggest an obscure product called Red Bull). For better or worse, however, Central supports posers as well as purists with a wide array of products. My muffin and latte were great! The shop is eclectic and homey. This is what a coffeeshop should be like. I was disappointed to note that other reviewers agree with my assessment but deducted stars because they couldn't find a table or a parking spot. That is ridiculous. The product here is excellent, you can't blame them for their own success! Really, Charlotte Yelpers (including a few elites), what is wrong with you?!
