  • Dear Copperstar, I really, really wanna love you... But I can't! I've done the drive-thru, to-go and dine-in- once each, and I've been left wanting every time. The place is so cute- chic, trendy, neat eclectic decor that is so in right now. Staff are equally eclectic, laid back and downright adorable. Unfortunately, the coffee sucks. Extremely acidic and fruity- just not my style at all, and I'm a Starbucks-everyday kinda girl. I also tried the blackberry-peach muffin and the cashew-white chocolate cookie, and both were over-baked- very dry. Tasty, yes. Yummy, no. I was there with a friend who ordered a Thai iced tea, which was mostly milk. After drinking almost half, she went up to the counter to ask for more tea, expecting to pay the 50-cent refill charge. They took her dollar bill, did not apologize for the weak drink and gave her no change. I'd like to say I'll be back, but I won't, not after 3 disappointing visits. I want to support local businesses- but I can't force down stuff that doesn't taste good. :(
