  • What a place to check out! I grew up loving punk rock and grunge music and the double down is the ultimate punk rock bar. I tell people who visit Vegas, you have to go for the experience if you've never been. It is a smoky bar with old videos playing on the tv's which I used to love watching since I don't gamble, sometimes there is live music playing depending on the time of day you go. They are known for being on Anthony Bourdain shows and he recommended it as one of the top 5 bars in the world. The drinks ass juice which is a shot that tastes like fruit punch but can pack a punch too can come with a souvenir ceramic toliet shot glass as well as their bacon martini which I personally never liked. There is no food except a vending machine so plan to eat before or afterwards. I would frequent the double down over the years and now it's just a nostalgic place for me to go and grab a beer. They have a really great happy hour too. I feel like the Double Down Saloon should be considered as a landmark in the ways of Vegas bars.
