  • I went in to rent a conference room and asked about rate. The desk clerk advised me to come back to talk to a manager because she didn't know the price to rent the lobby. She acted like I should be the one that should go out my way. I asked her to call her manager because I've got an event the whole weekend and I can't come back. She acted as though I was putting her out. She Got on the phone and said to her supervisor "Apparently This lady can't wait to hear the price cause she's really busy." I was shocked she was talking to her supervisor about me like that. The supervisor didn't know the price so the girl got the general manager. The most unfriendly general manager. He had me stand there about 10 minutes. I don't think he even knew how much to charge. I believe he was thinking about how much to charge me. As he was pondering I was trying to make light of the situation and I said be nice I'm a small business. He's reply was so am I. I'm thinking sir I'm by myself. I said to him that I'm a walking Billboard and that I can tell a lot of people. He's reply was "I don't care I have enough business without you". Wow, so arrogant and pompous. As he was pondering some more I said I only need 1hour 1/2. Then he said ill charge you 1/2 price because normally for 4 hours I charge $90. Well then I said it's ok to go little over cause I'm paying 1/2 price right. In a non friendly voice he replied NO YOU need to leave the time you said you needed. Through out the whole conversation I was trying to compose my self. Finally I thought this person and the desk clerk is not going to talk to me in an abusive tone. I said to the General Manager in a calm collective voice "You're not so personable". He screamed and said in front of other customers "THATS IT YOURE OUT OF HERE"! As the General Manager kicked me out the girl at the front desk said unkind words as I was leaving. Can't believe the way I was treated. The most unprofessional staff. I felt as though I was attacked and abused by staff at the Boulder Dam Hotel. Douglas M I went on that weird ride withe the general manager and the desk clerk except my desk clerk didn't have red hair. This is how they treat their locals. Well you can be assured that you'll be treated the same. Welcome to Boulder Dam Hotel where we have unfriendly staff and we will always treat you like crap. I went to Boulder Dam Hotel and all I got was spit on and thrown out!
