  • This review is simply for the pool bar/lounge area as I haven't yet stayed at the resort. My Friends and I were out on a Friday looking for a place to hang out. The downtown Scottsdale party scene is a bit much for what we were looking for...then we stumbled upon the upstairs area of the W (is it called Shade?) and I fell in love! Service was great, everyone was very friendly. Love the atmosphere...decor is hip and music (dj) was great with a nice little dance floor. This is my type of place. And it wasn't too loud. We were able to enjoy the music and still have a conversation. Can't wait to return!
