I take leaving 1 star reviews very seriously! But in this case it is very much deserved! I reserved a 3 night stay for our anniversary and checked in on a Friday night. I'll be listing the issues in order of importance.
Issue #1
We woke up the first morning of our trip and found the bathroom flooded. Now not to be disgusting, but I really had to go so I couldn't call them and wait for it to be cleaned and fixed so I could do my morning duty. So I had to get on my hands and knees and dry the bathroom floor with all of our towels so I could use the restroom. Didn't come to a 5 star hotel to walk into a bathroom with 1" of standing water on the floor! Or clean a restroom! The cause was a very old toilet supply line. Do they not know these things get old and must be replaced from time to time? Or do they just wait for it to leak and cause a flood then fix it?
Issue #2
So after cleaning the flooded restroom and using the toilet, I came to the study to call the front desk and let them know about the flood in the restroom and what do I see on the floor? A prescription pill! A quick Google search showed the pill was an anti-psychotic and extremely dangerous of swallowed by children. What If I had my kids with me on this trip? Kids out everything in their mouth. For all they know it could look like candy to them! Was this room even vacuumed before being given to me? Apparently not! I didn't notice it the night before because we hit the bed as soon as we checked in. 6 hour nonstop drive pretty much killed us.
Needless to say, the Venetian pretty much ruined our vacation for the most part. I will never stay here again.
Issue #3
They gave us a room on the 11th floor, except the elevator that's the closest to our room doesn't go up to the 11th floor. It only goes to the 10th floor and you have to take the stairs up 1 flight, or take the other elevator on the other side and walk about 12 minutes from one end of the hotel to the other to reach our room. Now I'm not trying to be a snob but that is not 5 star experience I thought I paid for.
