  • I have had two experiences at Tula Organic, and both were very disappointing. I'm not from the area, so when someone suggested going to Tula, I thought why not? The first time I went, I was only in need of a bang trim. It was a walk in, so I wasnt at all surprised or upset that they asked me to come back in a half hour. When I came back, they told me that Becky would be cutting my bangs. From the beginning, I could tell that she was less than pleased to be cutting my bangs. I understand that it might be a pain because you're not making as much as you would with a haircut, but it took about 7 minutes and I think it cost me 10 bucks (without tips). When I tried to explain to her what I wanted, she was very short with me, to the point of being flat out rude. At one point, she sighed and said angrily "I just dont understand what you want me to do". After struggling through the rest of the trim, its safe to say I wasn't pleased with how they turned out. I ended up watching a bang cutting tutorial on Youtube, and cutting them myself (and they ended up looking better). About a month later, I was really in need of getting a full hair cut, and since I didn't know where else to go, I decided to go to Tula again (my mistake). I thought I had made an appointment with a different stylist, but when I got there, I was told once again that Becky would be cutting my hair. I was a little worried, but I thought, how can someone mess up my hair? It is medium length, relatively thin and very straight. Let it be known, I am also very easy going when it comes to haircuts, as long as its straight and has some layers, I'm fine. Although Becky was much nicer this time around, the haircut was about as successful as the bang trim. Once it was blow-dried, it looked fine so I went home. After washing my hair, I realized that the right side was about 3/4 of an inch longer than the left side, and there were no layers or angles anywhere. My head/hair looked like a lopsided box, if that makes any sense. A couple weeks later I went to a different salon, and the hair dresser confirmed that it was very uneven (she said and inch) and there were no layers to speak of. I know it is my own fault that I didn't go back and ask them to fix it, but when you're paying $60 (including tip) for a cut, I don't think its too much to ask for it to be even. With no hesitation, my haircut at Tula Organic was the worst cut I have ever received, and I will never go back.
