You guys were amazing in what was a very difficult time! We had to decide to put our cat down that had cancer and just refused to go to the vet. Prompt call backs from the answering service and then the vets who walked us through the process. When she arrived the next day, she helped our family and ultimately our cat Stormy relax, began the sedation (he was still such a fighter we would have to go back for more), listened to us ramble as we talked about his fight to find a home, to survive on the streets, to heal and get healthy once with us only then to find out he was an old man with cancer with a short time frame and yet he fought for nearly a year, and she was still patient and soothing and let us comfort and honor him with his story and then it was time for the final ending shot. But he was more or less gone by then. His story was told and he got his love and lots
Of sedation so there was nothing left to fight. She let us all say our final goodbyes, hold him one last if we chose, explained again that his ashes and Urn would be sent to his Vets office for us to pick up and wrapped him snuggly in the fluffy blanket she brought with and that we had in our laps with him laying on and took him away. I may update once we get the Urn and ashes but otherwise everything was as I expect and even more since this is the first and only time we've used a service like this!
