As an easy weeknight restaurant, Sushi Kimu is great. It's convenient, food comes out quick and it's cheap for the amount of food you get. It's a solid mid-range (in quality for Calgary) casual Japanese restaurant but not necessarily a spot for date night.
Small with about 6-7 four seater tables, the decor is simple, modern and clean. Service has always been fantastic and what keeps us coming back is the fact that we can often get away with ordering an entree (pork katsu), one special roll and a salad to share for two and walk away with full bellies. Quality of food wise, I'd stay away from the sashimi. There isn't anything wrong with it, but to me, it just doesn't taste as fresh or as great as some other higher end restaurants. Rolls wise, they have a great selection and I've enjoyed all the ones I've tried. The rice to filling ratio is always good with less rice than actual filling.
