  • I had used them in the past for some random snow plowing. Two summers ago they trimmed a large hedge that ran the length of my lawn. I had them come back this year and do the same, plus a mow and to cut some branches hanging over my house. I got talked into them mulching a very small area around a tree in my front yard - that alone cost $75. This after I explained I didn't want anything too expensive. They ended up mulching all of my flower beds - and I had to talk to 2 people to ensure I wasn't charged for this. However the man hours were certainly indicative of being charged. I was planning on planting more over the next few weeks, so this was a nuisance. There were several people at my home in various stages of working and non-working. At one point a crew member sat outside for over an hour waiting on someone to bring gas to refill the lawnmower - this was the first oddity. I was at home and would frequently be interrupted to explain what was supposed to be done and to be offered a crew member's phone number. Really unprofessional. While the work was more than last year (around $300) it was a huge sticker shock to receive the bill - over $800. Wish I had read the reviews on yelp - I had originally found them through Angie's list. Yikes!
