| - If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in there about 2 weeks ago, with my 9 year old daughter. What I had hoped to be a wonderful relaxing mother daughter day at the nail salon turned into a war wound session with a unexperienced wax technician and a very expensive less than nothing full set & pedicure. Both my daughter & I received the deluxe manicure & pedicure package, even for my daughter it cost $90 as she also got Gel. That was not a problem, I had full intentions on spoiling her and providing her with whatever she wanted this day. I also received a full set, I came in with a picture of the nails that I wanted. French tip, very low, not long but professional & easy to type with but durable enough to withstand my constant typing. Both nail technician's that provided these services to my daughter & I reassured us multiple times that these will last at least a month, especially my daughter's Gel on her toes & nails. My nail tech reassured me that my nails wouldn't turn yellow, the paint wouldn't chip, and the nails would withstand the typing without a problem. Now initially when she started my nails I was a little hesitant because I wanted acrylic white, not white nail polish for my tips. However I trusted her judgement, as of course she is the professional who went to school for this. Therefore I didn't say anything about my nails, once they were completed, I was satisfied but not to the extent that I received what I truly wanted, however I wasn't going to complain it was already almost 2 hours at the salon. While I was getting my nails done I had asked if they provided Brazilian Waxes there as I had just seen another person come in for waxing, I had figured I could just get that done while I was there too, and knock all my girly needs out of the way in one trip & at one place. Boy oh Boy was I WRONG!!!!! LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!
***NEVER I REPEAT NEVER GET A WAX FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!*** The sanitation to begin with is horrendous, at first I hadn't noticed it as it was dimly lit and there was a lot of background noise, plus the wax technician stayed in the room while I undressed, I thought that was a little odd, however I assumed it was a cultural thing and wasn't too shy anyways, I was getting a Brazilian done, so full modesty goes right out the window either way. So I sat on the tiny bed, which I was concerned I would fall off of or break, but surprisingly enough it held me. My gut feeling at this point, was to decline and run far away, however I am always that person who overreacts and over thinks things, so I felt like I was just siking myself out and I just needed to take a deep breathe & relax, so that's what I did. To sum up this story, lets just say after the first strip was pulled I realized I had made a very bad decision, she didn't even pull the strip the right way nor was the wax hot enough, so it stuck to my skin, as you can imagine this lady continued to use the SAME wax strip to try to get the rest of the wax off my skin, she continued to restick the wax stick into the wax, long story short I have a BOTCHED VAGINA now, even my normal AMAZING and so PROFESSIONAL place (The Pretty Kitty) couldn't fix this ladies job. Luckily it's just hair, it grows back and I'll just have to wait another 4 weeks to have it redone by professionals. This experience has provided me with a whole new respect for The Pretty Kitty and how grateful I am to have such an amazing team to work with there. With regards to Nails R Us, I suggest they be shut down for unsanitary and uncertified technicians. I WILL be reporting to the BBB and already have my attorney working on a lawsuit. If ANYONE else would like to join in my lawsuit who may have had similar experiences, please private message me. Van you should hold your business in a better standard then you do, it's very disappointing to see how downhill this salon has gone. This used to be my favorite place to go to, Van & his wife were always amazing, now I wouldn't step foot in there again if it was the last salon on earth. I spent $300 on this salon trip, I got a horrible & traumatizing wax job, my daughters Gel literally fell off of her nails within 5 days and my full set turned yellow 2 days later and they were ripped off about 3 days ago. If that wasn't the biggest waste of my money then I don't what is.
