  • If you're looking for something off the strip that's got great food and you're short on time and can't dish out $50 for a fancy buffet, then Firefly on Paradise is where you and your friends are going for dinner before the club. HERE'S A TIP: If your wait is long to get seated, go to the bar, order a pitcher of Sangria and put in your order for a paella because that will take 40 minutes to cook and by the time you get seated you can have the paella delivered to your table. By the way, the Sangria will change your life. Let's start with the house bread which is garlic and the butter that accompanies it is this sweet, herby mix with I don't know what, but it tasted AMAZING! The staff saw that our group enjoyed this and brought extra bread out without us having to ask. We ordered the mac and cheese which was delicious and used the pasta shells instead of the elbow macaroni. Definitely home made and not out of a box, creamy and delicious.The goat cheese dish was good and had a sort of marinara base. I'm not a huge fan of goat cheese but it went well with the base. The mixed paella was out of this world! I need more paella in my life after eating the mixed paella which consisted of pieces of chicken, shrimp and clams and just a great flavorful bed of rice. I'm still heart broken that we didn't take the leftover mixed paella (there was at least a cup of paella left) to go because my friend said she didn't want her car to smell (we were headed to XS at Encore after dinner and it would've sat in the car for like 3 hours). It was my friend's birthday, and they brought us flan for her at no additonal charge and put a candle in it. Luckily she hates flan so I got to eat most of it and yeah, I'd lie and say it's my birthday anytime I visit here to get free flan. Everyone from the hostess at the front to the bartender and wait staff outside were courteous, beautiful and attentive. Next time I'm in Vegas, I'm definitely eating here and trying even more tapas and taking the leftover paella to-go and eating it on the way home.
