  • Dr. J Kohls is a wonderful physician. This review is based on my overall experience. Making an Appointment: Outdated software that creates a poor user experience The website "appointment scheduler" is pointless and an actual waste of time. This site contains an interactive calendar to choose your appointment times, but it does not collect or maintain data. I selected three options, provided my information and submitted my request. I later received an email stating not only were all three times I chose not available, but they we're booked out for an extended period of time. I was asked to call to make an appointment. When I called, I was asked to provide all of your information again. Three forms of communication to make one appointment. The receptionist and the technicians are friendly, helpful and efficient. Not all dispensing opticians are created equal This office has a very cookie cutter approach to ordering glasses and lenses. My advise - ask for your prescription and go somewhere else. This should be just a customized experience. Many offices have a 14 step process that includes pupillary distance, bevel and grooves as well as nose alignment. This office has a dated one page form. Technology has progressed to provide us with light weight and well fitted glasses. I hope this office can embrace these opportunities otherwise online retailers will continue to absorb this market with this generic one size fits all mentality. This office asked to contact my previous optician to copy their fitting. Why would a professional ask to copy the work of another? The question should be turned inward: "what value can I add?" If you have the time, schedule an appointment with Dr. J Kohls...take your script to an expert.
