Smith's is my go to grocery store for most items. They have great Manager's Specials on close to use by date gourmet cheese case, and at the far end of the meat case. There are usually great Manger Specials (in wagons in front of the seafood case) on dented canned goods and Items that they will no longer be carrying, as well as seasonal items. They generally have plenty of cashiers on hand and you rarely have to wait very long even if crowded.
BUT...
1.) Their bakery is terrible. Their "kaiser" rolls are tiny and useless for sandwiches - more like dinner rolls. Two boxes of donuts bought before noon were less than fresh - very embarrassing since I gifted one box. I go to Albertson's for baked goods.
2.) Their produce prices often don't come close to SPROUTS where I go for produce. When you go on Wed you get last weeks specials & next week's specials. So much more on sale and a huge difference in cost - I'm not talking about 10¢ or 25¢.
