  • The only way to describe Excalibur is, Gross. I read the reviews before we booked our stay here, I wish I would've taken them seriously! I kept an open mind though, since we wouldn't be in the room very much. NO! It was disturbing. The room in general was dingy, with wallpaper peeling and filthy carpet. The bathroom looked stained, as in everything that was supposed to be white, held a yellowish tint. In the actual hotel, everything was dirty. There was trash on the ground, I tripped in two different holes in the carpet on the casino floor. I felt like I couldn't touch anything, for fear that I would need a tetanus shot. Not to mention there are many hidden fees! This really annoyed my boyfriend and I. When we booked our room, we were told the cost for our 3 night stay would be $315. At check in we were told it was actually going to be $430! For resort fees, hotel utilities, and parking. Why wouldn't they just tell us that at the time we booked our room? If it weren't for the fact that this all took pace on July 4th, and every other hotel was sold out, we'd have gone elsewhere. I would recommend staying at NYNY or MGM across the street, Excalibur is just awful. I wish there were a "zero star" option!
