| - *Re-vised review* The separated resort from the casinos fad seems to be the growing trend now on the strip. This is a gated resort with 3 towers. The rooms are suites with a balcony and kitchen. The kitchen is sorta thrown in the middle of the suite and is not separated. It is sort of an odd design to me personally. A place like the Vdara has everything separated (the room, kitchen, living room area, etc). It seems like they crammed everything here together. It still is not bad overall, it is just a design flaw to me personally. I do like the walk out balcony that is accessible. Each tower apparently has it's own pool area as well, however, one tower keeps their pool closed for the fall, while the other two towers stay open.
The pool area is fairly kept up well. I hit the second pool in tower 2 since tower 1 was closed. There was a bevy of towels at a station at the entrance. Pool access is through your electronic key card. Lots of lay out chairs available and it was very laid back. I saw a snack stand but it was closed the time I was laying out here.
As for the gym, this is by far one of the best gyms I have been too. The equipment is good (a few had signs of wear but still worked fine) and there was no huge crowd at the times I went. The best part of this is gym access is 24 hours. So it is never closed. They have plenty of chilled water available and bottled water as well. Access is again used by your electronic key card issued at he start of your stay.
There are 3 gyms, with one in each tower. You have access to all three from my understanding. If one gym is overly full you can hike it to the next tower over and chance it there. The best part of the gym is the chilled, moist towels they have to cool yourself off with, along with the sanitary wipes to clean the equipment, and the free hands free hand sanitizer stations. There are lockers but I believe you need a lock of your own. They also hand out head phones for use for the TV's on the cardio and biking stations.
They have a place called The Lounge in tower 1 which is a small bar/restaurant to catch games. I read reviews on it and I believe their items can be pricey. Tower 2 has a small restaurant called Delights which serves pannini's and sandwiches along with beer and wine. I have no idea if tower 3 has anything to be honest. I would think they have something.
My room overall was not bad. The best part of it was the hot tub and the whirlpool in it. Outstanding water pressure. I was a bit disappointed in the shower as most hotels, especially the high end ones are switching over to the rainfall type showers that are designed to go in the middle of the shower. This was a regular shower stall. It was a big shower if that makes up for anything.
If you are looking for a bourgeois hotel, this fits the bill. Good service and you get the rest and relaxation method as this is away from the casino, which is a short walk through a corridor. There is a Starbucks in tower 1 and some small stores. One of the few "dings" I would give is my room had some stains on the couch (possible past spill) and the rug looked a bit worn.
