| - I'm not sure what The Duce is -- a bar, a restaurant, a gift shop, a bakery, an entertainment complex?
When I learned of The Duce and checked out their website, it seemed like an eclectic place with lots of character. What we experienced was a place that doesn't quite know which way to go or what to focus on (and forcing a hipster vibe), and because of that, nothing was as good as it could be with such a great warehouse space.
We went for lunch on a Saturday and sat outside. Of course, just figuring out where to go to eat once at the front door took a few minutes. We ordered at the counter and sat ourselves. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. We waited over 30 minutes for some melted cheese sliders and mac-n-cheese muffins, which I might add were meant to be a starter and came out after my husband was done with his main meal. Yes, not only did we wait over 30 minutes, but they brought out my husband's meal 10 minutes before mine and the appetizer. The only thing they offered to compensate was a free Coke. Wow...thanks.
The food was okay. Certainly not worth the wait or the cost ($10 for three little grilled cheese sliders and no side). And I'm still not sure why we waited so long, because it was not busy.
Overall, we were very disappointed. We won't be back.
