if you have a simple system where CSS can just come in and do something quick and easy and get in and out in one shot then you might be okay. mount a tv, something like that, get in, get out. something impossible to mess up...
but if you have even a vaguely complicated system that might require support after the installation then take my advice: GO ELSEWHERE! this guy is NOT INTERESTED in coming back and fixing things that didn't work the first time out.
1. the cabinet kept overheating and the equipment kept failing - he blamed modem. ok? so fix it? nope. not gonna do it. i had to do it myself
2. he forgot to run a cable from the modem to the TV the first time out. he was royally pissed that he had to come back out and run a cable. the cable he installed fails because it wasn't capped correctly. he ain't gonna come out and fix it. told me to basically go F off. nice. i had to hire Best Buy Geek squad to fix the cable and move the modem out of the cabinet, which ironically was not that hard. but i guess it would have required CSS to admit that they didn't do it perfectly the first time out, which they weren't willing to do. they said it was all MY fault. ok.
3. the Pro Control needs to be changed now (just a few months after installation). he refuses to help and told me to find another contractor. despite his assurances that he would support the system for a year. so i'll need to hire a new contractor for that.
4. the receiver also needs to be reprogrammed just a few months after install. guess what? he aint gonna do it. i might actually need to replace the entire thing if i can't figure out how to modify the receiver on my own. lame.
the guy is super rude if you ask him to support a system he installed or if the system he installed doesn't work right the first time.
like i said, if it'ss something easy / simple. ok. but a complex system, you will need a firm with more man-power, more resources to support after install... and frankly someone with more of a customer service attitude. this guy is very rude and i'll probably have to spend a lot of money to replace equipment he refuses to support!!! :(
