  • This is such an incredible event. A gem to be experienced in C-town only, day after day of incredible films to reshape your mind and open your world. Every genre, a multitude of countries,(be prepared for subtitles), morning through night you can view the best of the best submitted for competition. There are so many ways to experience CIFF. Pass holders, membership, individual ticket sales and volunteer opportunities. The whole festival runs like a well oiled machine out of Tower City Cinemas downtown. It pays to prepare a bit and learn how the festival works. It will greatly enhance your experience. CIFF puts out a catalog of all the films and within its pages,(and on their website), is a wealth of knowledge to help you get the most of your visit. We always pick a day and a general time period we plan to go. Then we surf through the film catalog and choose a few films to see. We always pick one related to our city, a crazy out there themed flick and some kind of drama. Be sure to arrive early and plan enough time between films to allow a good spot in line. Ticket holders line up 40 minutes early and theaters are generally full to capacity. Full concessions are available and so are restroom facilities but these do back up as Tower City doesn't see a crowd like this all year. Film makers and sponsors are frequently present to either introduce the film or participate in a Q&A after the show. Go, see something new, experience the best of film and Cleveland hospitality.
