Don't forget the drug-addicts and ex-cons who ride the bus to Lawrenceville for their methadone. They congregate here along with the unruly charter school kids, all of them unwittingly serving as fodder for the prison/industrial complex and the school-to-prison pipeline. Lowlifes across the socioeconomic and political spectrum tend to see a light in me that nauseates them, making them long to harm me any way they can. Therefore, I avoid this stop for fear of finding myself in jail. I don't fear the guttersnipes. Rather, I pity them, partly because they are victims and because they have no idea what I'm capable of. Let's just say that my free weights and heavy punching bag get much use.
Any other time, it isn't so bad, though. Yeah, you'd think it would be riskier after dark, but it isn't, so take a trolley to the Cultural District why don't you?
