rev:text	Hubs & I strolled in one chilly day hoping to enjoy a quick early lunch in the sunshine. The place was completely EMPTY. The only other people here were staff members. We asked if we could sit in the sun (because I was cold). The minute the host sat us by the sunny window, the bartender immediately told us to move. "I need those seats for my other customers." I looked around the restaurant. There was literally NOBODY ELSE THERE. I've worked in a restaurant so I totally get it about not wasting a 5-top on 2 people. But it was COMPLETELY EMPTY! I pointed this out, that we were his only customers. I thought the bartender was making an attempt at humor. Nope! He was serious! He insisted, "You need to move unless you're going to finish your meal in 20 minutes or less." We actually WERE looking to have a quick meal, but after being addressed as nothing but commodities to him, there was no way in hell I was sticking around to give them my money. Little did this jerkface know that when hubs and I go out, we usually order drinks, apps, booze, you name it, along with taking a dessert to go. We could've easily dropped a quick $70 for our "quick lunch." But we were treated so horribly and there are SO MANY OTHER RESTAURANTS IN MADISON that want our money. Cooper's Tavern will never get a thin dime from us. We literally walked fifteen feet down the sidewalk and had a wondrous dining experience at Field Table. And when we were done eating, we walked past Cooper's Tavern. I looked inside. Not A SINGLE MOFO? was in there!!! When you treat your customers like that, it's no wonder why! That bartender can sit & spin.
