  • Where do I start? Since I've moved to Vegas, which has only been less than one month since I started searching... I've been dying to get my hair done cause my locks were terribly unpresentable! My roots were "bleh" which gave the appearance to an ugly regrowth annddddddd my blonde was brassy as heck (yikes!!). So, I started my research on social media (instagram per se) as to where the "best" hairstylists were at. Obviously, my search didn't end because there were so many talented artists on insta (how can you choose just one!?). Anyways, on my way to a snowboarding shop (Powder & Sun) on Fort Apache Road, I saw this hair salon right next door. The entrance of the salon alone, just caught my eye. I really don't recall any other hair salons having that effect on me, lol. It was appealing! It's so funny cause I was originally on a mission to get a new pair of snowboarding boots but I helplessly made a detour to check the salon out. First impression, the staff all looked fab, had their hair done and were neatly groomed- this tells a lot to your customers. They were nice and friendly and asked what I'd like to get assisted with. I asked them if they do balayage and they told me it's one of their main services. Of course, I needed to see some of their work before I decided to make an appointment, so they pulled up all their hair pics on their desktop. I was blown away and beyond ecstatic! With no second thoughts I made an appt. The front desk worker was able to set me up with a hairdresser and I got an immediate consultation. I sat on the artist's chair and he did a quick run through with my hair. I explained what I exactly wanted and he, in a hairdresser's language, told me what he planned on doing. He seemed very knowledgeable so I placed my trust in him, I knew I was in good hands, haha. I got quote and an appt date set up which was only two days away, I couldn't believe it! I'm so use to having to wait one-two weeks or so after I contact my hairdresser back home. Having that early appt date was a plus cause really, my hair needed some blessings and life to it. My hair dresser's name was Michael, we instantly clicked and he had an outgoing personality. Fast forward to the results of my hair, I was in awe! He dressed my hair with loose curls and this is what happened. I needed to go to the restroom so I had to walk to the back of the salon and in the back of my head, I heard the other hairstylists complimenting my hair between themselves. Yes girl, you know I had to take a couple more looks in the mirror of the bathroom! I was so happy with the results. Michael did an amazing work, he'll definitely be seeing me again!!!! P.s. Jay (owner), a celebrity in my eyes is, is someone that I'd LOVE to learn from. I'm an aspiring cosmetologist and will be going to school in the upcoming months. I can't wait!
