Finally, I have had the chance to try this place! After seeing it on Guy Fieri's show, the boyfriend and I decided to check it out for NYE.
Not a fan of the neighborhood. However it looks like they are expanding to the building next door, and the exterior is very welcoming. On this particular night they were packed, but had a live (small) band jammed into the front.
Now, the food. Oh my god it was good. I Had the Pollo Poblano and highly HIGHLY reckons getting that. It's got this delicious goat cheese/cream cheese/ sour cream mixture of amazing on top of poblano peppers and juicy chicken. With a cream sauce and pine nuts, I was done.
My boyfriend had the famous pork. (Cochinita pibil?) it was amazing as well, he cleared his entire plate. Super tender and juicy. Yummmmmmmmm.
We had the guac as well, since it was rated best in Phoenix, however I didn't think it was the absolute best I'd ever had. Our waiter was pretty rushed as well so there were big chunks of guacamole too. Meh.
Otherwise, it's a must to go here. We will definitely be back when our leftovers are gone!
