  • If you're looking for an indie coffee shop on Yonge, this is about as good as it gets. When you walk in you know that everyone's in on the secret, as I had to wait for a table to clear up when I went in. The décor is upscale with marble and wood everywhere, and you can see everyone looking for the best spot in the house. An interesting touch is the water tap with a vintage looking spout to dispense your water, which is thankfully self serve. My coffee was as high quality as is to be expected, and it made an afternoon of reading and sketching all the more enjoyable. Though if you're staying longer try for the couch or the bar instead of the high table by the door like I had! The only complaint was that it was crowded, but that just shows they are doing something right here.
