| - By the time I stayed here, I had been traveling for two weeks. I had stayed in very nice hotels and some not so nice hotels and I hadn't stayed in the same hotel twice. I decided to try out the Travelodge because of their advertisements.
When I checked in, I was ignored while the guy in front of me was being helped. Not even acknowledged as I wandered around the lobby. The manager (also owner I believe) was in the process of training a new young man so it was understandable that he was inexperienced. At first glance, when I went into the room, things looked normal but a bit old. I dropped my things and headed out to get a bite to eat.
When I returned, I found upon closer inspection that this room was actually very filthy. The bed was clean so I looked past it and sat down to watch TV. Soon after, I found myself swarmed with mosquitoes. They were everywhere! I spent most of my night chasing them down and killing them so that I didn't get bit by any of them. I was able to contain most of them to the bathroom and closed the door to finally get some sleep.
While looking for a possible source to this infestation, I checked out the mini fridge to see if maybe the condenser was leaking and when I opened the door, I was very surprised to see boxes of leftover chinese food that had been left there from another guest.
When I got up to shower the next morning, I nearly killed myself due to the slimy residue that was left in the bottom of the bathtub and when I turned around to reach for the soap, I was met with multiple strands of long black hair on the tub, shower walls and floor.
As I was checking out, I made a point to list off all of the issues that I had experienced with my room over the night and the (owner/manager) was apologetic and appreciative to my complaint but no attempt at restitution was made to ease my fury.
He did however go and address the housekeeping staff right in plain view of me on the other side of the room.
Not professional! I'm usually pretty tolerant and not the type to demand my money back or anything like that but he could have at least offered something in the name of customer service.
Now I'm here typing this horrible review and I will never stay there again. Neither will anyone I know for that matter.
