Went in to get brunch with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar. It took some time for the bartender to notice us, but they were busy- so I understand! I ordered the Reuben sandwich and my boyfriend got the BLT. I hate rye bread so I nicely asked the bartender if I could change the bread. Basically anything besides rye would have been great. He then proceeded to tell me in no possible way could the kitchen do that. I thought he was joking! He wasn't. My boyfriend asked if he could change his bread to rye bread. The bartender again says no because they "save the rye for certain sandwiches only." What the heck? I've never heard of that before. Well, here's a solution! Why doesn't my boyfriend get my rye and I'll take his bread! We got another no. Again, I'm so confused. Not sure what his problem was, but we felt extremely uncomfortable. He made it seem like we were making a big fuss. We went ahead and ordered it how its made. Once the food came out we just switched the bread ourselves. I don't see why they couldn't have done that in the first place. We never saw the bartender again. Drinks were empty, service was just plain BAD. I'm a server myself and I've never experienced anything like that before. I really wish I would have got the bartenders name. I don't think we will be back :/
