| - My boyfriend and myself have been discussing where we should eat for our first anniversary so he brought up a place called papadeux. He added some details about this resturant and the food was mostly southern themed. Also, the cost is a bit pricey but worth the trip to dine there. I decided to read up the reviews and did some light skimming based on people's experiences here.
Finally, on our anniversary we drove up to papadeux which was around 8 - 8:30 when we got there. Luckily, they closed at 10pm so *whew*. lol.
I already knew what I wanted due to looking at other people's reviews on which entrees were good.
The place was really lovely and words can't describe how romantic this could be coming here on our first anniversary *hearts*
When we arrived, it was pretty empty and very dim too, I wasn't sure how to take it but I was just nervous and excited to arrive to such a lovely and uppity place.
We were seated immediately and our waiter was Johnny. I really loved our waiter! He was very attentive, very well mannered and had a really good intuition which he could anticipate our expectations and such. I was so awed and wowed by this waiter and there couldn't be anything more lovely then having a wonderful and smooth service.
He asked if this was our first time here and I mentioned that my boyfriend has been here once but this is my first time so Johnny came around my side and opened up my menu and just went through each section of the menu and explained a bit of some of the popular dishes for each category. Which i loved! *hearts*
so I picked out an appetizer, I don't remember what the name of the appetizer was but it was really good! I had the lobster bisque soup with lobster chunks in it....oh man that was soooooooooooo delicous and the lobster was a bit chewy but still tastey!
Then I had the costa rican naked tilapia the 7oz, now that was seriously good *drools*
But in between our dishes, johnny kept checking up on us and communicating about our food and the time which was very excellent customer service...i mean his service was so top notch I couldn't have been any more happier *smiles*
He also was talking story to us and I loved that. I really could tell that he was very laid back and wanted to get to know us a bit and also asked if there was anything he could do for us. He also was curious if there was a special occasion as to why we were here and I mentioned that it was our first year anniversary and he smiled and congratulated us *blushes* I seriously felt that johnny just knew we were here on a special occasion and he has a really good intuition. Again, such an awesome waiter!
towards the end of our lovely meal both of us were getting a bit full and I must admit that the food at papadeux is really rich but delicious food *drools* I couldn't admit defeat yet and I went on to getting desert . I got the banana bread pudding and I was sooo full but I was determined to finish it so I wolf that sucker down. lmao. Though I was bloated and full and...just wanted to roll out instead of walking. lmao. food was really good.
In the end, my first experience went so smooth and perfect for our first anniversary that I was very very happy and I am hoping to come back again for another special occasion!
I do want to add that johnny was so lovely and helpful and he boxed up all of our left over meals. He is such an awesome waiter! If any of you guys get him, you'll be taken cared of very well!
