  • Nice bartender. Nice server. Nice day. Upon arrival, the host stand (or is it "hostess stand"?) was vacant for an extended period of time. While baffling, this allowed me the beautiful opportunity to pretend I worked there, greet people and hand out menus. I was able to fool at least two groups before an employee intervened. Once seated at a picnic table outside, flies swarmed. With no food or drink on the table at this time, I deduced the flies were attracted to the table itself. Which must have been dirty. I suggested to the server that she spray a significant amount of cleaner on the table. She seemed to take this as a joke. (Note: This was not a joke, but rather a serious suggestion.) Other than the swarm of flies outside and the fact that they desperately need more servers, Kickstand is charming. A real anything-goes pub with good variety and prices on its menu, many TVs, and a spacious back patio.
