I purchased a Serta queen mattress and boxspring set for about 50% off at $699.99. Can't complain with the price at all, sales rep was very friendly and informative. She recommended a metal bed frame for about $89 as I was not prepared to shell out $400-$500 for a wood bed. There's also a space issue with my bedroom for a headboard and footboard.
Metal bed frame came with a "limited lifetime" warranty. Six months later, one of the legs cracked as I was sitting down to put a pair of socks on... and no I did not jump on the bed (I was asked by The Brick warranty claim representative if I did).
There was some difficulty coordinating with their warranty department, but a new bed frame was provided after I went to Twitter to post my complaint. I still question the quality of the bed frame and very sketchy about my purchase. Happy with mattress as it's very comfortable.
Some points The Brick can improve on:
1: The defective bed frame was left standing up in my doorway which is a safety hazard. I took the bed frame apart myself and disposed of it. Perhaps your delivery staff can take it away instead.
2. Stop charging customers $70 for delivery, your major competitor Leons has free delivery.
3. Teach your delivery drivers some customer service skills, first time around one nearly bit my head off because I arrived "2 minutes late downstairs to meet him." Give me a break, you're paid by the company. Delivery staff the second time around to deliver the replacement were polite and completed installation.
Unfortunately from now on, if I need furniture for my home, I'll be going to Leons as the delivery charge is the main sticking point.
