  • Horrific Customer Service: Purchased a bicycle for my son about 6 months ago, $350. The purchase went well and I received a discount on the last bike in his size. Since the first day the front tire lost all air pressure in about 24 hours. I finally was able to bring bike back in as he is going on a camping trip and I will not be there to pump the tire up every day. Upon walking in the store they had 2 perfect bikes for my youngest girls-we have triplets. After looking them over a salesman asked if we needed help. I explained that the front tire has "leaked air" since the day we bought it and I read online that it may be the "air intake" as it was bent at about 45 degrees. He said no problem and would look at it for us. Then things took a turn for the worse. Before the tech could even pull the tire off the sales women came over and stated: We have not sold this bike in well over a year-not true-bought about 6-8 months ago AND your son most likely ran over a thorn...Do you agree to the 17 dollar charge to replace and install the inner tube? Of course I agree as I want a fully functional bike BUT I think it was improperly installed when we picked bike up...sales women repeats thorn idea again. Please note: I could care less about how much it cost to fix I was dismayed at how we were being treated. Lastly, after tech pulled the inner tube, there WERE NO THORN HOLES. The inner tube was perfect. It was exactly as I had read online. The original inner tube installation was done poorly leading the tire to lose air. At this point one would think and expect an "oops we kinda jumped the gun you were correct". Instead the "owner" said she heard entire conversation and was perfectly satisfied with how situation was handled. Really? You have a customer who already purchased a $350 dollar bike for his oldest son-looked at buying 2 more bikes for his daughters and were totally proven wrong on why bike had a problem and your choice was $17 dollars. Pro Cyclery lost a customer today but IMO I do not think they care. Hopefully they will lose a few more after reading this
