  • I've been shooting pool in this place for years. In fact, within the past few years they upgraded their tables to Diamonds, which are my favorite tables. The owner is very friendly and I can't remember a night that I've been there and not seen him, which is uncommon for a lot of pubs in this area. It's a shame that their kitchen shut down after the smoking laws came into effect, because the food was pretty good. They have video poker, a nice (but often too loud) jute-box and a rather substantial dance-floor and stage. They also have bands in there regularly on Fri. and Sat. nights (but they're also a little too loud for me...I'm old). I know the place inside and out, and when I'm there, I usually know most of the other people in there as well. But I've seen people walk in there for the first time, and they seem to just blend in like family. That's the atmosphere...It's welcoming.
