Okay so the a la carte concept with spirit airlines is not necessary. All it does is trick you into thinking you're getting a good deal. In order to get a good deal...buy the ticket, carry only a backpack or very small carry on bag, let them pick you a random seat, and have a printer to print your boarding pass. Otherwise it's $10 to print the pass, $20 to choose any seat, 31 or so for a regular carry-on and this is if you pay for all of this online before you get to the airport. NO seats recline and you pay for every drink (even water $3). Not horrible for a quick flight with no luggage. Busy maybe? I hate it and didnt expect all the Nickle and dime-ing. I will never fly this airline again. I'd rather pay for everything in one price and deal with professionals who don't try to trick their customers into thinking their getting more for their money. Safe yourself the hassle. There's a reason for all of the bad reviews.
I'm writing this from the plane on my return flight. And am delayed by 2 hrs because they needed to reboot the computer and then after that was done, they needed to shuffle bags to make them even! They couldn't do that while the plane was rebooting??? Lame! So this makes another "plane delayed" review as well! So if you're thinking of trying this airline, just like DONT! (Channeling Laura clercy on Instagram!) Save yourselves!!!
