  • Worth the trek and worth the wait! Thanks to my D D& D app (thanks Guy!) I found out about Matt's while in Phoenix and convinced my sweet boyfriend to take a detour downtown and, yes, wait a while to have breakfast. It was worth every minute! The pancakes were absolutely fantastic and I'm the ultimate pancake snob. They were possibly the best pancakes I've ever eaten. You could taste the batter. Don't know how else to describe it. They were just the freshest most batter-y tasting pancakes I've had in years. Orgasmically good! I also got a decaf, which was fantastic. My boyfriend loved his omelette. Mine was actually just OK, not great, but the pancakes, coffee and service made up for it, 100%. Our server at the counter was a hoot and although super busy, kept us refilled and entertained. Real maple syrup. Yay!
