| - I have been really loyal to the same vet for years now - one Christmas my pup threw up worms and he willingly came in on the holiday after hearing my frantic message on the answering system. Despite lack of satisfaction since, I have stayed with him. Unfortunately, I had a sick doggie today and my vet is always closed on Wednesday. This provided the perfect opportunity to pay a visit to this Gateway Animal Clinic that sooo many people rave about.
Yes, I had to wait, but at 2:20 on a weekday afternoon, I was out by 3:20 and the place was packed, i.e. there wasn't enough seats for everyone at one time. Patience has never been a virtue of mine, but the time went by so quickly. Everyone waiting was so nice and talkative - eager to pet each others dog/cat. Personally, I met a great guy and another woman who taught me some things I did not know about caring for and training dogs. And seriously, if you're an animal watcher/lover, you will see some beautiful dogs and cats.
As for the vet - she was friendly, asked a lot of questions and very knowledgeable. Just like recent reviewers said, I could tell she really cares. She even told me to follow up with her on her next day back at work if I still had concerns.
Perhaps the best part of my visit was the bill. For a month of flea medication, two shots, antibiotic for 7 days, and exam I paid $70. At my other vet I promise you I would have paid double.
