Boba is starting to get a foothold in Phoenix (ok I it's in Scottsdale but I refer to all suburbs as Phoenix get over it), and I'm all about it.
This boba shop is in the food court area (first floor) of the Fashion Square mall in Old Town, and I gotta say they know their audience (teenage white girls) -- it's exactly what you think a boba shop in a mall would be except a little bit... extra. Basically basic girl appropriated boba. For example the sizes aren't small, medium, and large; they're hug, kiss, and smooch. They've also got a really unusual menu with gobi (fruity balls that kinda pop) and nunu (gummy things) and a bunch of other options. Took a minute to figure out how to just get some Thai tea with boba.
It was also reeeeally sweet, honestly I would say too sweet but some people like that. Wouldn't be my first choice but if you're in downtown Scottsdale and need dat boba, well, do what ya gotta do.
UPDATE: they just sent me an email for $7 off the next time I go even though I didn't give them my email sooo looks like I'll be back soon
