  • It's a rare day that I don't mind paying a repairman or contractor for fixing something around the house. I can honestly say that paying Lake City Air Conditioning for taking care of an issue with my air conditioner did not hurt at all. I had called my regular repair guy to fix a leaking from the attic problem. He had been recommended by a friend who owns a number of rental properties. We had recently moved out of town and were renting our house. He described the problem over the phone and quoted me a $400 cost. I said to do it without understanding exactly what was being fixed. That night I did research on the Internet and it seemed like I was being greatly overcharged. I started asking him questions through texting. I don't think he liked me asking questions because the next day he told me to find someone else. That's when I found Lake City. I called and spoke with Julie, the wife of the owner, Dave. I explained what had happened & asked her some questions. She said she would get the answers to my questions and call me right back, which, turned out to be the case. I felt very comfortable in talking with her and had a good degree of trust, also. She said they would send somebody out the next day and he would call and give me an estimate. The technician, Eric, came to the house when he said he would, called and explained the situation in very good detail, and answered all of my questions. He was truthful in his answers and was willing to say he might need to come back and do some more work, but the work he was doing that day was needed, regardless. I was very impressed with his HVAC knowledge but the information he passed along about track-home builders and shortcuts they take, or, sometimes have to take because of the plan of the house. Julie called me in a couple of hours, told me the bill would be the exact amount Eric said it would be. I told Julie some of the reasons I selected her company was that they had been in business over 25 years in the Valley, the owner still went on calls, and that they were located in Boulder City/Henderson. My house is in Henderson and I like to have the company nearby. If I have any HVAC problems in the future, I am calling Lake City without any hesitation.
