| - I love this place. I only wish it was a little closer to the Swissvale neighborhood. I stopped here one day for a coffee, Zeke's coffee, when I was out on my walking excursions. I've been there three or four since in the past few months. Aw.., if it were only walking distance. The owners are very friendly. A few weeks ago I stopped while out walking again, the day before the closing of the Greenfield Bridge (October). I ordered a piece of quiche and a coffee. Both delicious. I know they get food items from other places; and I can't remember where the quiche came from, but don't stop getting it there. That day I had a conversation with the owners about graffiti and the two or three degrees of separation that bind Pittsburghers. Yesterday after walking up, or maybe down, Murray, I found myself in Greenfield. I stopped for Leona's ice cream sandwiches to take home. I had read about these but never had one. In traffic I started to eat the Paw Paw/Coconut Shortbread one. It was delicious, and I will be back to try more flavors I have an Apple Cinnamon/Oatmeal Lace sitting in my freezer now. It may be for my husband and maybe not.
This cafe also has an eclectic, interesting selection of items to purchase. I have bought greeting cards, a toy, books, and a bracelet. Always something new and often local to peruse. Most recently they included some awesome terrariums. This would be a business to visit on Small Business Saturday. You just might find a perfect Christmas present while enjoying a drink and snack.
