| - I'll say this much for Swizzle, it's pretty much exactly as advertised. Located just behind the Starbucks on the southeast corner of 16th Street and Bethany, Swizzle Inn is dive bar that caters to pretty much anyone. My first experience here came on a Friday night around 9pm with a large group of friends who vouched heavily for this place. The place was jam packed with people from all walks of life. I saw 20 and 30 somethings, middle aged folks, bikers, hipsters, elderly folks, and on and on. The decorations are tacky (and in some spots obscene), the atmosphere is proudly unpretentious, and the drinks are cheap. I've been told this place isn't nearly as nuts earlier in the evening, but from 9pm straight through Midnight it was pretty raucous. My friends and I had a fun time here with virtually the entire place singing along to whatever tunes were playing in the background. The people watching was certainly not dull as the full folly of human behavior was on display. I don't know that I'd be a regular here, but I can see why so many would.
