  • Dr. Nasri knows his shit. Excuse my language...but that he does. His office is filled with his diplomas and awards and it's definitely reassuring when you are going to have your throat cut open. By the time my paperwork from my specialist got sent to Dr. Nasri, I had done my homework. It's amazing how many of my friends had Dr. Nasri perform their total thyroidectomy. When my endocrinologist said that he is the best, he seriously is. By the time I got my appointment scheduled, it was about a month out. When we arrived for the first appointment the waiting room was full. I ended up waiting for him for about 2 hours just to talk about the procedure. We went through my two options/ hemi thyroidectomy or a total thyroidectomy. I opted for the total knowing that it was possible I had cancer on both sides. He had a long discussion about the pros and cons of both. I got my pre op paperwork and was told to get it done before the surgery date. Did that and I met with him right before the surgery to discuss cost and logistics. I waited about 2 hours again for this to happen. I met him at Summerlin Hospital and he was on time for the surgery. Afterwards, he met with my husband and told him his findings but of course we had to wait for the biopsy report. I remember coming out of post op and a few nurses commented on how it was definitely Dr. Nasri's work since I didn't look like Frankenstein. He's good at what he does and the nurses know that. He ended up releasing me the next day super early in the am. I had a post op appt a week later and since it was early in the morning the wait was minimal. Overall, the wait can be long (but the wait is long anywhere I go for specialists) but it's worth it to get the best. My scar is small and he does answer all your concerns.
