Had my first bad, well terrible experience with American Airlines. The staff was very friendly and easy to deal with pre flight. After boarding we were informed that our pilots were still in Oklahoma. Why put us on the plane if you don't even have pilots. We were asked to de board and still staff was pleasant.
Informed that call out pilots were being called in and it would now be a 2 hour wait. I get it things happen. So we go grab food in the airport walk around to kill time and come back an hour and half later and out flight had been cancelled and we were never notified. Staff became very rude and not only did they say use the Internet when you get home to deal with your issue have a nice day. I asked if they can get our family on the next flight out and they say I don't know call American Airlines. Well you are American Airlines ma'am.
Call American and they cannot get my family on another flight for 2 days together. So having to find another airline that now is charging 400 dollars a ticket because it's next day per person. As well as our rental car now cost over 100 dollars more. Way to go American Airlines. Don't tell us call out pilots are on their way when they aren't. Way to step in and help your customers out. Would never recommend this company again.
