  • This has got to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a GP. I had all my medical records transferred over from my long time GP because I live downtown and his office is very far away from my work and home. I signed on as a new patient with Doctor Lorde based on a recommendation. Dr Lorde was fine but when I went to make another appointment about 4 months later I was told she had left for another practice. Okay then. I was not informed. I was placed with her temporary replacement who also also left a few months later. Again, I was not informed of her departure. At which point they placed me in the care of Dr. Linder who was very adverse to speaking with me about an important an on going issue and I was not impressed. He also ended our time very abruptly. Despite the fact that this practice is open until 7pm they refuse to make appointments after 4:45. I've explained my work situation multiple times (9-5) and they are not in the least bit accommodating. For my most recent appointment I managed to (somehow) get an appointment after 5 after a lot of cajoling. After we were finished I asked Dr. Linder if we could have this time again as my work does not allow me to leave my office mid day so frequently(I need to visit the GP more often than most) At which point I got a very condescending lecture about how "no one will wait for me" okay.. It really made me feel that they valued their time far more than mine. After all this I made the decision to switch to another practice because I was tired of being jerked around at which point I discovered they're going to be moving the ENTIRE PRACTICE to High Park!!! They didn't tell me - I saw it on their website. At this point I'm like, okay well I need a refill on my prescription. It's very clearly posted that they charge $30 to fax in prescriptions. I can't really afford that on top of the $200+ that my script costs every month so I called and asked if I could simply pick it up to avoid the charge. Nope. They are still going to charge me the $30 no matter if I pick it up or they fax it. Okay so they refuse to make appointments after 5, insist on charging me for my script unless I come in and see the doctor, then charge $30 for the pleasure??? Side note: the receptionists are rude and multiple times when I've gone in they don't even look up, let alone greet you, when you say hello. Further - I've been with them since 2014 and in that time they have been unable to provide me with the psychiatrist referral I've requested many times. I don't know if that is their fault but I really think that almost 3 years would be enough time!!! This has got to be the rudest most self involved medical practice in town and I am deeply unimpressed with the patient care here. Thanks for nothing. Oh and on top of all this - my old GP who was my doctor for 25 years won't take me back so I'm totally screwed.
