| - Pros:
They ended up solving a problem that was introduced by another Monro mechanic at an out of state locale. My car was making noises that they concluded most likely was caused by my brake pads breaking apart. And, sure enough, once replaced, the noise suddenly was gone.
Cons:
1) Nothing is complimentary, no matter the money you're spending. To put on my new license plate after performing the state inspection, they had to work to get the old one off because the bolts were stripped. Ok, fine. But they had to charge me (they did forewarn me) 51.00 for labor to do so. Really? After everything I've already spent with your services which was quite a bit (brakes, muffler)?
2) I had just moved here from MA within a month of my first visit here. The MA Monro mechanic indicated my brakes were fine. This visit, they indicated I needed new front (or back; I can't remember which) brakes but the other was fine. The next visit, I was told I needed the remaining brakes replaced. What the??? Three visits within a month and three different brake diagnoses? Obviously, I don't know which diagnosis was correct. Let's just say my brakes appeared to be working all along and that they never squeaked or acted as if they weren't working at any point. And, if both sets did need replacing, why didn't this location find that out on the first visit?
3) After my new tires were put on by the out of state Monro location, my tire pressure sensor light came on while driving here on my move out of state. I had the tire pressure checked and it was fine so I just wanted the tire sensor light turned off. I took it to this location and on two separate visits, the light was not turned off. The first time they said they forgot; the second time they said they didn't know how and that my car might need new sensor(s). I've had mechanics in the past simply call the dealer for my car and it's as simple as that to get the info. Anyway, the info is also online, so I've managed to turn off the sensor myself.
