I've made a few trips here this summer as I work on McCaul and Orde street with my work group as well as with friends, and I must say it has been quite enjoyable.
Most of my trips here have been during the day for a drink and once for lunch. So I must point out I can't say too much about their overall food here. I had the Nun's Pasta and wasn't blown away but it was not a big regret in my life. The majority of my group did seem to have enjoyed their food here very much.
They have a good beer list and if you're in the mood to try out a few good pints I highly suggest coming over here. Matching beer mugs are always fun too. A plus over their neighbour the Village Idiot Pub (another establishment I enjoy) is that their beer list has description with the varying alcohol content of each drink. I tried out a 10% beer and if you like dark beers and getting drunk, I highly recommend it. If not, they have at least one other beer at 9% or more if you don't want to go all the way out to 10%!
Their servers are friendly enough, as it's always busy when I'm there. No complaints in terms of service.
One minor negative I have is that I am not a huge fan of the crowds here (and at the Village Idiot Pub), there's nothing wrong with them really, just not the type of crowd I would like to share a venue often. Not all undergrads, but late 20s/early30s seems more of a majority.
Note: refrain from attending on a garbage night as the street does stink up real well on those nights!
