The Japan House is one of the many gems that one can find in the Champaign/Urbana area. Featuring Japanese decor, statues, architecture and plants; the Japan House is a cultural explosion of Japanese history. Though the Japan House won't be open for cultural events until the second week of May, guests can still walk the grounds, marvel at the architecture of the house and it's gardens as well as cross the bridge that leads to the house if your entering from the Arboretum. I loved all the plants and the beauty of the house. The sounds from the wild life; frogs, crickets and nature alone is enough to believe that you are listening to a soundtrack of nature. Quite the place to just relax and let the worries of the world melt away with the peacefulness that the Japan House fosters. A wonderfully cultural experience and I'll definitely be back for the Tea Ceremony and other cultural events the house will be hosting. I can't wait!
