What could have been a great experience and review has unfortunately taken a turn for the worst.
About a year ago, I decided to get a new fence at one of my properties. I had Action Gate and Fence and another well-known competitor come out to provide free estimates for the gate that I wanted.
Scheduling was relatively easy online and was followed up by phone calls to lock down a time and confirm.
Gary Lynch from Action came out, listened, and
Action Gate was about 40% lower than the competitor, so my choice was easy.
Payment was half up front and half after completion. Easy enough.
Installation was completed on the timeline they provided and I was very happy with my new gate.
Fast forward about eight months. One of the planks developed a significant crack length-wise down the center of it.
At the time, I was also looking to get a new fence installed on my balcony, so I reached out to action Gate and Fence online again and submitted a request for warranty service on the gate and a free estimate on the fence.
I was called back promptly and advised them that I wanted to first get the gate repaired and then we could move forward with the estimate on the fence. I was told that someone from the warranty department would contact me regarding the gate. That's where everything turned south. I have since reached out to Action Gate and Fence every week or two for the past five months to follow up and get the repair completed. I have heard NOTHING! Not another call back, no one has showed up to take a look at the gate. NOTHING!
My only possible conclusion at this point is that Action Gate and Fence uses inferior quality materials and their follow-up/warranty service is non-existent.
You apparently do get what you pay for and Action should seriously consider changing their name to Inaction Gate and Fence.
